Request: move the thumbnail preview to the right of the player

I search a way to have it always visible or visible when i want but always at the same place (fixed). I make a CSS test to explain what i want:
the previews maybe are too small in my example but functional...
maybe an hover zoom? (but it's a global background image, so it can be difficult to zoom only a specific part)
