huh, weird! I've never tried this on safari, only Firefox Nightly as a mobile browser. if you can take some screenshots, I can try to do some troubleshooting.
It works, but not for AO3 mobile--I have this downloaded to my phone (iOS, Safari) and when implemented, it does not allow me to open the search/filters button for some reason. However, it does color the tags. Tentative user workaround is to turn off the user script while doing the filtering and then turn it back on after the search page has been curated
