For me it's still there. It might be another redesign or HTML change, but not every user gets it at once.
If it breaks for me or if I find a way to opt into this redesign early I'd fix it.
I use Firefox and I think this was Chrome issue.
I updated New Youtube Pic Link and New YouTube Obnoxious Bar Fix.
Both work for me now in Firefox and Chrome.
The buttons disappeared again. Was working about 2 days ago (aug 7).
