Download YouTube videos. Video formats are listed at the top of the watch page. Video links are tagged so that they can be downloaded easily.
It is already supported — automatically — although it is not obvious.
If you hover over the 720p or 1080p M4V, you will see the itag is 299/298 (1080p/720p) instead of the usual 137/136 (1080p/720p).
Note that only the 1080p/720p M4V is 60fps. The 720p MP4 (itag 22) and 480p M4V (itag 135) remains as 30fps.
I have downloaded the above video at 1080p to confirm that it is indeed 60fps.
Lastly, the M4V is a DASH video file, so you need to download the M4A audio file and mux them yourself.
The 60fps videos are now marked as M4V (HFR) in version 1.71, = High Frame Rate, so hopefully it is more clear.
