So, I tried installing it this morning, and initially, it worked fine, but after a minute or so I keep getting a completely white screen with the text "retry later" instead of the page I want to see. Is this a known bug, and if so, is there a solution for this? I do want to use it because it seems very useful to me

The same thing is happening to me. I've been wanting this for ages but never got around to setting it up, and less than five minutes in it appears to be broken. I'm getting the same white "retry later" screen, so I hope someone knows how to fix it :(

I can't say what the problem is without any details. You can try to comment out line 424 (add // to the beginning), so it says // loadKudos(blurb);. That will mean the script won't automatically check for your kudos when you're browsing a list of works. It will still remember the kudos you left in the same browser.

On the topic of the white screen with Retry later--this is due to sending too many requests through AO3. I also ran into this when I first downloaded this and started marking all of my bookmarks as "Seen". If you wait a few minutes and then come back, everything should work as intended. I recommend going through items at a sedate pace with this script!
