Latest update v2.2.0 does not work and produces console errors (see image)

Ditto.

Last update v2.2.0 stopped the script from working. Was working fine beforehand.

I get the same error message as u/frm1001xplrr:
Script error in [Greasemonkey script http://spiralx.org//Reddit - Load 'Continue this thread' inline; version 2.2.0]:
ReferenceError: GM_getValue is not defined Reddit - Load 'Continue this thread' inline:3144:19

Ah, you're both running Greasemonkey on Firefox, I only tested it in Tampermonkey on Chrome. Looks like there's differences in how they work that the update triggered. Will open Firefox and investigate.

Looks like Greasemonkey 4 changed how a script can support things like getting and setting data and adding menu options, which is what I added in 2.2.0. To fix it I'll need to update the script to use the newer way of doing this, hopefully I can get this done over the weekend and push a newer version tested in Greasemonkey and Tampermonkey, and maybe Violentmonkey as well :)

I'll post here again when I have more news, thanks for letting me know.

Sorry for the delay here, getting married totally derailed a lot of things. Have updated the extension to use a different library for preferences which should work with Greasemonkey, I've tested it and it seems fine. I recommend using the mouse over option for ultimate lazy browsing!

@spiralx - Congratulations on your wedding :)

Script is working again!

I recommend using the mouse over option for ultimate lazy browsing!

I've looked near and far and cannot find where to enable this option?

Thanks!

It's the option "Expand links when you move the mouse over them?" in the settings. Under GM click on the icon in the Firefox toolbar, select "User script commands", select the "Reddit - Load 'Continue this thread' inline" and then you should get the options popup. Select "Expand links when you move the mouse over them?" and click outside the popup, should work then.

Hmmm, I don't see the "Expand links when you move the mouse over them?" option.

The GM menu is confusing, you're clicking on the wrong thing:

Oh my hahaha. Thank you so much for guiding me as well as for creating and maintaining this script :)

No problem! Let me know how you find the feature, I've been loving just wafting my mouse over a link to get the comments :)

I've also got a script for opening deleted comments in Reveddit with a click and another for making it simpler to tag people via RES by auto-filling the tag popup with the tag you used most recently :)
