Hi. This is somewhat unrelated to this script and would require a request per user in 'recent friend updates'. (So that could be up to 9 additional requests to MAL each time you load the page, which is a lot).
It'd make more sense to have this in a separate script.
I dont mind creating that script, if its still something you're interested in, but it wouldn't be till late march.
