AMAZING SCRIPT! A basic feature that Reddit should include by default. Truly shocked this doesn't have 10,000+ downloads.)

--Original 2018 comment (included only because the follow up replies are meaningless without it)--

Not working in Chrome (other browsers are fine--details inside)

  • In Chrome, Reddit still displays the "Continue this thread button," and the button still takes me to a new tab. I tested it in a fresh Chrome browser (v. 68), with no other extensions or scripts installed, other than a script manager (tested with both Tampermonkey and Violentmonkey).

  • Vivaldi, which uses Chrome underneath, works perfectly, using either Tampermonkey or Violentmonkey.

  • Firefox works perfectly, using Greasemonkey.

Still, I am very thankful for this extension. I use Vivaldi and Firefox regularly, so I can make use of it. It would be great if you could look into the Chrome support issue, though. (Or at least see if you can replicate it.)

[No delete button for comments!]

I moved everything into the first post when I added more details.

It works fine here in Chrome, but I'm using the bleeding-edge development version so I'm on 70.0.3505.0 - if you go to the menu, down to Help, and click About Google Chrome, what does it say?

Also, if you could go to a page on Reddit where it isn't working and press F12 to get the Developer Tools open, then click the Console tab (if it's not already selected), copy any errors you can see there and paste them into a comment here I can hopefully see what the problem is :)

This is forever ago, but I just want to thank you again for this script. It's one of my first moves when installing a new browser, and is really something Reddit should have always had by default.

(RE the original comment: Chrome's privacy issues finally got to me; these days I only really use Chrome when verifying pages render properly in it or fixing things Selenium finds. FF, FTW.)

It is ridiculous Reddit loads comments inline when you click "Load more comments" but doesn't if you click "Continue this thread", I suspect it's some stupid holdover from the early days of the site when the interface worked differently. There's no way I want to have to open a new tab or page just for one more comment :)
