The data comes from the server in pages, so we can only sort per-page, which isn't too useful. Sorting is something that really needs to be done by the server.
I've been hesitant to add filtering. If you filter for 1000+ bookmarks, it might need to load thousands of results to get enough results that match the filter to fill the screen. It would need to have a manual "load more results" button to slow things down if it's loading too quickly, to prevent it from hammering the server and possibly getting people blocked. It'd complicate the search screen a fair bit.

would it be possible to add an option to sort by popularity (bookmark count) even for users w/o pixiv Premium?
if not, then I was thinking maybe another option would be to introduce an option to filter submissions based on the number of bookmarks (e.g. >100 bookmarks, >500, >1000, etc...) or maybe even include the option to specify a specific bookmark threshold
