< Părere la script-ul Instagram Download Button
Hello kcool,
Is video download always broken or only in some special situation? I did some simple tests, but I didn't find the problem of video download broken. Could you provide more information like your operating system, browser version, script version, and what situation will happen?
This script downloads pictures by grabbing the URL from src attribute of the img tag in the HTML source code. The image size problem is due to IG provides different HTML source code between browsers.
Thanks
Win10 Pro 20H2 Edge Chromium Version 87.0.664.60 (Official build) (64-bit), WF G3.0.1 (64-bit), Instagram Download Button 1.7.0 for both browsers. Any video post (ie. https://www.instagram.com/p/CIrp2VWg_G7/) whether on my feed, on that users profile feed or on the individual video post (either as a pop up or opened in a new tab) will not download (nothing happens when the download button is clicked). The open in a new tab/window button only works in Edge but opens with a "File not Found" page and the address it points to in the previous example is blob:https://www.instagram.com/e8375f26-fe61-44e5-92dd-920d0e24980b. If I hover my mouse pointer over the "Download" and "Open in a new tab" buttons, the url preview (in both browsers) is a "blob:https://www.instagram.com/[random numbers and letters]" but if I hover over a picture post the url preview is "https://scontent-lga3-2.cdinstagram.com/v/[bunch of other stuff]"
This didn't start until yesterday 12/11/2020.
seems like IG changed video source to blob streams. damn
Hello despecial,
Yeah, you are right. Currently, I have found a temporary solution, and it will be released recently.
Video Download broken on Edge Chromium & Waterfox Gen 3. Open in new window/tab does nothing in WF but Edge opens new tab with "File not found". Address bar uses "blob:https:/instagram.com/".
Seperately, WF downloads pictures in 1080x1080 but Edge only in 640x640
