Thanks for the report. I was not aware that such links existed.
I added two safeguards:
The maximum download size for each link is now 2 megabytes. I'm unsure what a good size is, but 2MB seems reasonable to distinguish websites from direct downloads
If you press escape again, the script will immediately stop all downloads
(I could not really test this thoroughly but it seems to work. Please report back if something does not work as expected)
Direct downloads, watch out!
If any of the links you are checking have direct downloads, set whether by you or by the user that owns the links, they will immediately begin eating bandwidth, at a max. rate as long as the browser is open! Other than that, I found the script to do what it says and I use it, but with caution!
