Standard disclaimer: I am a crowdsourced employee of CrowdSurf Support, but am not affiliated with their corporate entity or parent company in any official capacity. These scripts do not perform any functions that could conceivably be considered illegal in any jurisdiction, but they are all unlicensed software providing functions and making modifications to the official transcription software without the knowledge or endorsement of CrowdSurf Support. CrowdSurf Support are not responsible for the development or function of these scripts and cannot or will not provide support for them.

Provides a variety of helpful functions for shaving seconds off of CrowdSurf jobs. Works on AMT and CSW.

Currently only works on transcription (which includes robo-review) and review

  • CTRL+Enter is equivalent to a click on the Submit button. This prevents you from moving your hands off the keyboard to click Submit when you're done.
  • Enter key dismisses modal dialogs. Modal dialogs are the ones that pop up and black out the screen behind it, like special task instructions, the RES scoring window, or that window that appears after you click Submit when transcribing.
  • Keeps track of your job volume and earnings for you just beneath the tabs on the right side of the job frame. This is currently a simple accumulation. To reset the accumulation, click the [Reset] text. I personally reset this each day to keep track of my daily earnings, but there's nothing preventing you from resetting weekly or simply not at all. IMPORTANT: all volume and earnings tracking is separated by site and job type. This means that if you complete 10 jobs and earn $1 on AMT, the script will show 0 jobs and $0 earned if you load up the interface on CSW. Job types are also kept separate, so any earnings in review will not appear in transcription.
  • Automatically focuses the textbox on page load. Again, keeping your hands on the keyboard for a typing-intensive job.

Also helpful:

  • CSW extension for CSPT. Automatically scroll the page down to the job frame, rearrange the interface to save space...
  • Cielo job frame tinkerer. Disable spellchecker, maintain a list of custom ignored words, ignore all spellcheck suggestions on submit...
  • Job counter. Adds an easy, clickable button to the worker history dashboard to count up the number of jobs completed in that timeframe, because CrowdSurf does not currently provide a way to do this...
