First I just want to say that I love this script. I found it years ago and it's been a staple for me ever since. I also recommend it to everyone I know who uses Ao3. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for so many fics I've been able to read without annoyance. It's been a true blessing.

That said, I had to downgrade to the old version after the update because it stopped working on some fics. Not every fic, but enough that it was noticeable. I'm afraid I know nothing about coding so I couldn't begin to tell you how or why.

But again, love your work and this isn't me shaking my fist, demanding a fix. The old version has worked fine for me so it'll keep me chugging along. I just wanted to mention that this is happening if you want to keep poking at it.

I'm having the same problem. This is one of the fics the updated script doesn't work on: https://archiveofourown.org/works/13439460

I'm sorry it took so long, but I think I figured out the issue; the version I just uploaded should work on that fic and others now! Let me know if you're still having any problems.

And unfortunately, we still have an error, though now it's the opposite. It removes more than the required spacings, so the text gets squished together. https://archiveofourown.org/works/37250416 is a good example and you can see the difference if you toggle it on and off
