Apparently it broke recently. The 1.2.17 update should restore the behavior.
I did find a work-around. If one holds alt while clicking, chrome will ignore the ling, resulting in the desired behaviour
There's no need for a workaround in 1.2.17. If it is still broken for you, try disabling other extensions/userscripts.
Can you make it actually cover/block the underlying link so I can use it while watching a playlist? As is, it counts as clicking on the video, preventing this script from being useful.
i solve this problem by disabling script updates. the current version 1.2.20 behaves the same as in your example. and version 1.2.14 works great
