I wanted to use one like this that doesn't use a MutationObserver. Unfortunately, it only works when opening a shorts video either in a new tab or by refreshing. Left-clicking on a shorts video to navigate to it does not cause a redirection. That said, as long as you want to open each video in a new tab, as I usually do, then it works just fine!
