Upon selecting any song, no request is sent to ****.googlevideo.com/**** and no song or video is played, the page just gets stuck with a black picture for song cover and the player itself doesn't get loaded either. I tried running the script in private mode on firefox 129.0 with a fresh profile and just violentmonkey add-on enabled with only this script active however the result was same.
It's really too bad, I usually work with my PC and this was the only script that actually prevented requests to be sent to https://****.googlevideo.com/****&mime=video**** and made sure the song cover or a video thumbnail image would take place of the actual music video and only requests from https://****.googlevideo.com/****&mime=audio**** were downloaded. every other script and add-on simply sent both video and audio requests and just cosmetically hid the video playback from view or failed to do anything at all.
I guess it's time to take a look at those mods for youtube and youtube music apps for android and their legality from Google's POV... T_T
