Automatically mutes the Twitch player when an advertisement started and unmute it once finished. You can also hide ads by setting disableDisplay to true.

Is the purpose of the suggestion linked to an eventual doubt on what's going on atm or for something else? I could add a small text saying "Ad(s) in progress" with the time elapsed for instance and/or set visible the current progress for the ad(s) as Twitch added that a while ago now. Best solution being the later as the most optimized one and the fact i'd not set this as an option but integrate it directly in if you chose to disable the display of the ads.

Well it's already displayed in fact (for some reason i thought it was also hidden but no just the video is hidden), so i guess your suggestion is for something else.
Could an option be added to replace or add a gif overlay when an ad is on so the black screen just has something for a bit?
