Free the Public Domain music library
This link will skip the download wait on imslp.org
All it does is reveal the link which is already on the website, and is not doing anything untoward.
The link is already sitting in your browser and target web link is already open to public web access without restriction.
All it does is make the link visible without delay.
IMSLP started a subscription plan but have not been forthcoming with their accounts ( financials, user-base, bandwidth etc. ) to justify why they need vast sums of subscription money which seem disproportionate to what is required to maintain their web / file hosts. Honesty, fairness and transparency are deserved by all who use and contribute to this resource to preserve music for all future generations.
This music should remain in the public domain and be easily accessed in respect of the many thousands of people across the world who have donated countless hours of their free time to scan and collate music for the global community.
If you still wish to support imslp.org, and are not concerned with their lack of transparency on why they need the funds and how much money they need to host the files, then I encourage you to subscribe and pay them money. However if you, like me, would like to wait for more information before donating, then you can use this script as a temporary measure in the meantime.
I'd be very uncomfortable to find that there more than 50,000+ users potentially generating a potential million+ $ per year, whilst the server costs are minimal.
