How to Change Color of Visited Links in Microsoft Edge

Your script is the only method I've found that works in Edge. Great work!

{Who would have thought someone'ld be able to fix something Micro$oft hasn't in over 5 years...}

The great bonus feature of using a userscript manager is that one can control which sites should NOT have their links colored.

In case anyone asks, 'Visited Lite already has the color 'LightCoral' assigned. You can manually change it to whichever color you like, such as 'Red' which is what I use: go into the script, go to Line 22, change 'LightCoral' to a Color Name.

The two user*styles* that are frequently mentioned to work, I can't get them to trigger (in Tampermonkey):

Red:visited -- Mark visited links Red (*DM) https://userstyles.org/styles/17357

Visited Link Custom Color https://userstyles.org/styles/142585

If anyone discovers the solution, post here!

I have three enhancement suggestions:

[1] Change the 'include' to a sample site.

This way, users can put their own desired sites, even if '*'.

[2] Consider a configuration pop-up/out that allows users to pick a color - instead of manually editing the script.

One of my favorite scripts, https://greasyfork.org/scripts/2024-w-a-r-links-checker-premium , has an interesting (perhaps overkill) coding for a config pop-out.

[3] Related, put a link to a webpage where the colors can be seen. I use this one: https://www.htmlcsscolor.com/html-color-names
