Don't worry, I have a fix! Please check back for a script update in around 6 hours.
Could you please link me to the other scripts/extensions you use which add white buttons to the video player? I might be able to make them suit the retro player theme too.

Thank you so much for fixing the issue! I'll update the rating to reflect this.
It seems Youtube's new update has now broke the script and it just shows the description at the bottom of the video no matter what. Really unfortunate. It was fun while it lasted at least.
