Breaks stories [EDIT: no longer breaking stories]

This script prevents videos in stories from playing at all. Occurs whether looping is enabled or disabled. Works as expected in feed.

Could you provide an example URL?

Same problem here. It's working great in instagram's feed but if you see the stories of people it don't play if is a video.

Nervermind, I solved it adding the exclude rule in Tampermonkey "https: //www.instagram.com/stories/*"

Author, please, add to the main script that exclude rule.

I've updated the script to exclude the URL as a temporary workaround. I couldn't provide a fix yet because I can't find any video on that URL for testing (I only found photos). Could anyone provide exact URL(s) with video posts?

Sorry about the slow reply, and thanks for the update.

That workaround still doesn't seem to have quite addressed the issue. If you go directly to https://www.instagram.com/stories/applemusic/ (you must be logged in), the workaround works.

However, if you go to https://www.instagram.com/applemusic/ and click on the profile image - which pulls the stories up and is the way most people access profile stories on desktop (again, you must be logged in) - the videos won't play.

It's a little tricky to provide a URL, as stories are only live for 24 hours. Apple Music should have some video stories up most of the time though, I think.

OK. I've found the problem. It's been fixed, but the progressbar is not yet available for story videos.
