TLDR: This script does not have explicit support for Apple systems/software.
So after looking into this matter. It seems like Userscript(the extension) is currently feature incomplete. Userscript(the extension) does not support the API that I rely on for this script, and stated that they are not actively resolving this issue more than 2 years ago (https://github.com/quoid/userscripts/issues/230). On the other hand, I do not have access to a Mac, meaning that providing explicit support for macOS/iPadOS/iOS would be pretty much impossible. The conclusion being that there is likely no way for iPadOS to run this script with the available software as of now.
Therefore, this script should not be used on Apple software. If it works then it works, but if it doesn't then do not be surprised.
Thanks for making this! It works great with Tampermonkey and Chrome. But I couldn't get it to work with Userscripts (recommended at https://greasyfork.org/en/help/installing-user-scripts) and Safari, which is the only way to run scripts on iOS and iPadOS. To be clear, I'm visiting youtube.com in the mobile Safari browser, not using the YouTube app, since it's not possible to force a specific resolution in the app.
