[fixed] No longer working on Indeed.com (was working in v1.0)

Hi again.

Some interesting happenings since your recent updates!

••• After one update cycle of the script, the problem with Disqus, that I reported earlier. [fixed]

(••• I didn't mention it at the time, but that update removed a quirk on Indeed.com--introduced by a previous version of the script (and/or by maybe Linkify Plus Plus)--that I had become accustom to, ever since I started using an older version. I liked that quirk! Still, I didn't see the need to report it, I was willing to live without it, until...)

••• Today, another update cycle on the script, that quirk was re-instated - yay!

••• But now... redirecting links no longer stay on the current tab/page. :-(

Here's an example: http://www.indeed.com/viewjob?jk=a5ede63269a944b5

You'll notice that javascript links, at the very bottom, such as "Client Service Analyst salaries in New York, NY", do stay on the current tab.

Yes, I spend waaayyy too much time on Indeed.

redirecting links no longer stay on the current tab/page. :-(

what links?

[1] 'View or apply to job' button

[2] the link created by script 'Indeed.com: Highlight non-sponsored jobs' https://greasyfork.org/en/forum/discussion/10843/x

[3] the 'reviews' link, next to [2]

The 'Recommended Jobs', 'About this company' (on the right-hand side), and linkified links do stay in the tab.

And could you confirm something: is the script working for you on GF, specifically this discussion? :confounded:

For me it works everywhere both in FF and Chrome.

On the indeed I see only view or apply to job link, though: https://puu.sh/rkbM9/dbc4ec2443.png

Try raising the execution order priority of my userscript: rightclick it in Addons->Userscripts and choose Execute first.

ok, to make the testing more reliable, I did some cleanup...:

--I'm on 2.0.7 of the script (Greasemonkey 3.9) --logged OUT of Indeed --cleared cache --deleted cookies -- made sure that (indeed.com .indeed.com) were whitelisted in https://github.com/meh/smart-referer -- which I did *not** have before. -- 'indeed.com' is already whitelisted in uBlock -- turned OFF https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/20617-indeed-com-highlight-non-sponsored-jobs --restarted (Fx 42.0)

Picked a (better?) test page: http://www.indeed.com/viewjob?jk=80cb11e0c16d854c

Here's the screenshot: http://picpaste.com/uumFVXwP.png

No matter if the script is first or last, these links do not stay in tab: [1] the 'reviews' link: "2 reviews"

[2] 'View or apply to job' button

For fun, I turned on 'Indeed.com: Highlight non-sponsored jobs': -- its link does not stay in tab (The linkified Company name, next to reviews)

For extra fun, I toggled 'Linkify Plus Plus' ... same behavior as above.

I'm on 2.0.7 of the script

Why? The actual version is 2.1.2. Do a forced update if Greasemonkey fails to autoupdate the script.

§

Yes, it hadn't auto-updated yet, so I did the manual force...

It works like in v1.0!

I checked logged out/in to the site, with the 2 scripts on/off -- all good.

Even the 'quirk' is still there. Thank you.

What was headache in this problem?

I'm gonna enjoy it all working -- and save any more error reports for another website.

Thanks again.
