Indeed UX+ Userscript

This userscript automatically hides all Archived, Saved & Applied Job Posts on the Job Posting page, and enables easy navigation through job posts using your Arrow keys.

Features:

  • Hide Archived, Saved & Applied Jobs: Automatically hides all job posts that are archived, saved, or applied to.
  • Arrow Key Navigation: Navigate through job posts using the Arrow keys.

If the script misses some archived, saved, or applied jobs, right-click the screen to open the context menu, click on 'Tampermonkey', and then select 'Indeed UX+'. This will make the script try again: search through the jobs and hide any unwanted ones.

Limitations:

  • This script is not designed to be customizable, nor will I be adding new features.
  • The script was created primarily for personal use, but I thought others might find it useful.
  • It does exactly what is outlined in the description. For example, if all job postings on a particular search results page are archived, saved, or applied, you will simply see no jobs listed.

Future Updates:

  • I will not be adding features such as:
    • Arrow key navigation between pages.
    • Applying themes.
    • Hiding jobs from specific employers.
    • Filtering jobs based on criteria.
    • Hiding anything but all three job types (applied, archived & saved).

Simply put if I come across other annoyances with the Indeed user experience, I might consider future updates.
Feel free to let me know if you encounter frustrating UX elements and if I end up sharing your frustration, I might update the script.

Bugs & Feedback:

If you notice any bugs or have suggestions for improvement, please let me know! I’d appreciate it, as encountering bugs would be just as annoying for me as it is for you.

Commercial Use:

If you're interested in creating a more polished or commercial version of this userscript (one that aims to serve a wider audience), feel free to use my code as a starting point or take any parts that you find useful.
