I am also experiencing this issue.
Can confirm having the same issue. Hopefully it'll be a easy fix.
Since yesterday the "download" icon has disappeared from the videos and photos in the stories. The icon is still working on instagram normal posts.
I'm on firefox.

Download button has stopped appearing in Stories. Using both Chrome and Edge browser. Can still download posts tho. Hope the author can fix it soon.
