< Feedback on Google Hit Hider by Domain (Search Filter / Block Sites)
Hi, there was a problem with version 2.1.6 not detecting certain novel/experimental Google layouts. Could you make sure you have version 2.17 or later?
Otherwise... two questions:
(1) What browser and user script extension do you use? For example: Firefox + Violentmonkey, Chrome + Tampermonkey
Edit: Also, you could share a sample search results page URL that has this problem.
(2) In case Google has changed the layout of the results page, but I don't see the change yet, can you share some page code from a basic search (nothing personal)? Here's how:
After running your search, right-click a little to the left of the first organic web result and choose Inspect. This should open the Developer Tools with that element highlighted in the HTML panel.
When you hover the mouse over that HTML tag, a blue overlay in the page should show that it contains the entire organic search results. If not, try clicking higher elements in the HTML "tree" until you get there.
Right-click that HTML tag > Copy > outerHTML
Then create a new paste on https://pastebin.com/ and in the "Syntax Highlighting" selector, choose HTML. You can give it a name if you like.
Hopefully I can figure out what is different on yours and update the script.

top few results correctly handled (either show block button or hidden by rule)
no block button after first few results and some escaped blocking

Thanks so much for maintaining this script!
Okay, turns out if you block the Twitter carousel, the script was crashing somewhere down in its bowels so it didn't process the rest of the results. Maybe I never tested that, or maybe Google changed it? This should be fixed in version 2.1.9. Let me know if the problems continue.
P.S. "Quotes in the News" items don't use the <h2>
or <h3>
header so that's why the script doesn't see them. Not sure I care about these so much, but I'll try to remember for later.
It looks like the script needs an update. Currently it only works on top stories but not main search results.
