Happy New Year to you too,
Can you please tell me which userscript manager are you using? I've tested the last versions in Firefox with Greasemonkey, in Chrome with both Violentmonkey and Tampermonkey and in Chromium Edge with ViolentMonkey and it works.
If you could send a screenshot, I can compare it with what I see and guess if maybe Instagram is experimenting different interfaces for different users.
Hi,
In Firefox i use Greasemonkey, in Chrome and Chromium Edge i use Tampermonkey.
For example https://www.instagram.com/mikeleongrosch changes to https://www.instagram.com/accounts/login/?next=/mikeleongrosch/ and i get that stupid login screen.
I put the page source code in a pastebin, maybe this will help: https://pastebin.com/FYYgVVf7
Thank you for sharing all this info. This is a common problem when browsing trough a shared connection, like a VPN, a proxy or the Tor Network. This is unfortunately not caused by my script, but from a forced redirection, usually following a 429 error (Too many requests) on the server. This might happen even if you use your home's landline connection, but the ISP gives you an IP that is shared with a lot of customers.
If, as I suppose, Instagram checks the IP of the connection to see if it's a shared one, there's virtually nothing that can be done to overcome the block, apart from trying a different connection or logging in.
My script works by simply replacing parts of the HTML page to make the site browsable, but to get past a forced redirection it would require a different approach, one that would definitely be illegal (and out of my knowledge) :D
Forget to mention that i am browsing from Germany.
Forget to mention that i am browsing from Germany.
Thank you, so the problem is not limited to the US, it's not dependent on the country.
By the way, if you need Instagram and can't access at all the site without logging in, you can use https://imginn.com instead: it can show all the public Instagram profiles without logging in and without blocking shared IPs.
Well, I don't know what happend but suddenly it is working again.
Good to know, but I wouldn't be too confident that it will last, your IP might be listed againg among those that need login to access the site in the future.
Happy New Year 2021
Since 01.01.2021 this script is not working anymore.
I guess that Instagram have changed something.
Tried it with various browsers like Firefox, Windows 10 Edge (chrome based), Chrome.
And I tried other login blocker scripts also but none of them are working anymore.
Kind regards
zISko
