I really need this feature too please.
I have found no addon or script to perform this.
Many times I am in the middle of reading an article or watching a video,
and then a reload page is enforced and I have to then find my way back to the article or video.
I use Video Resumer firefox addon which helps but is broken now... but I still have to scroll and sort back through to the exact video.
Please and thankyou
Barbie, if you're on a Chromium derivative, check out ScriptBlock. Very simple, works at the domain level, very easy to operate. So far very pleased. Blessings.
I take it back. While the extension works well, it kills all JS. I continually have to Allow sites when I want to do things like view Disqus comments, so I'm going to uninstall it. Still looking for a way to kill only auto-refresh JS.
Thanks for suggestions Paul B.
However...
I am on WindowsVista Firefox32
I actually only have one site that I need to block auto reload.
YesScript firefox addon will block the javascript for the one website only, but then none of the videos will function on that site.
I was hoping for a script like this that actually works. http://userscripts-mirror.org/scripts/show/4097
or something like this (although it is not for the site needed for me) http://userscripts-mirror.org/scripts/show/13594
There is another way to reload a page and no need javascript just a meta line in the html like that:
<meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="300;url=http://exemple.com/">
The auto F5 script stop work. =/
The YesScript Firefox addon will block javascript for a single website, but none of the videos will function on that site.
I was hoping for a script like this that would work. http://userscripts-mirror.org/scripts/show/4097 mario games
Stop auto refresh?
Can this script be used to stop a page's auto refreshing? I'm primarily looking for something that will nullify remote server refreshing. Thanks.
