It starts in muted mode. Pressing m toggles the muted state. You can click the mute button in the video player. I vaguely remember it's because Firefox won't autoplay them on hover otherwise.
Thanks for information. Is it possible to use video controls in previewed video without opening it in new tab?
Controls work when the popup is in zoom mode. Zoom activation is configured in settings, it's Shift by default.
Controls in Firefox show only when I press m during preview. In zoom mode no effect at all, even when mouse is over video.
It's right-click by default. The Shift key shows the control only temporary while it's pressed.

No sound in video previews on Firefox. Edge, Chrome, Opera work fine. "Mute videos" checkbox is disabled.
