People can be very reluctant to talk about their positive feelings, and may even feel like their positive comments are silly and unwelcome. Literally nobody who has ever left a negative comment has thought about their own feelings this hard, or applied such a flagrant double-standard to them.] \n\n[You may have heard of the sandwich model of commentary – a light opening statement (usually a compliment) followed by a contrasting “filler” (usually criticism) followed by a closing statement establishing tone (usually another compliment). Maybe start by talking about how you were feeling when you started reading the fic, and then pick a part of the fic that felt very engaging, and then end by talking about how you were feeling after you’d finished the story.
