Can this script be modified to add the aspect ratio 9:16?

Done. But I'm not sure how it looks. I need an example video to test it.

I have tried the updated add on but the desired effect was not achieved.

I was trying to force youtube to display in the 9:16 ratio used in Youtube Shorts videos. However, the updated extension only seems to be widening the aspect ratio horizontally instead of vertically for non-Youtube Short Videos.

I still need the link to an example video to properly test this.

It sounds a bit like you want to change the video player's size. So that it spans the height of the screen, like the YouTube Shorts one does. But this userscript is only for changing the video's width, not the video player itself.
