this redirects to a third party search engine. that's not a "simple search" the way i assume most ycombinator news enthusiasts would presume (something that actually queries the HN's API on the client side then formats results to browser). i definitely did not expect a redirect to another domain that attempts to connect to at least 7 other domains from my machine.
it might be a great website. i'm not interested to discuss that (but to be fair it's likely the tracking is not purely malicious but rather an honest person's attempt at sustaining a website financially - that's all) further. the problem is that the script is misrepresented by never mentioning a third-party server.
