Is there another way?

I've spent like 7 hours in the past 4 months trying to figure out how to permanently download locked down, view only, read only, "export options disabled" spreadsheets on google docs. I don't get it. Nothing's worked.

Am I the only human on the planet who gets pissed when people make tutorials in spreadsheets and then LOCK THEM DOWN? So I could be halfway through the guide and they decide to delete it and I'm just FUCKED? What the fuck? There has to be a way for me to download the spreadsheets so I can fucking reupload them unlocked for EVERYONE to enjoy forever. NOT fucking controlled documents. NOT fucking locked down spreadsheets.

There are ALWAYS ways to download youtube videos and other things online--why is this problem so difficult to bypass?

Using this "Google Drive Direct Links" script, I get access to this direct link here: https://drive.google.com/uc?id=1z7UQ5F7sQB6IeJTFNtCw_NfLrT8pTyo4S5PwDyGNi7M

But you can't do anything with that link. It says 404 not found. It doesn't allow you to download it. It doesn't allow you to copy it to your own drive account. So what's the point of the script? What we need is a real solution. There has to be one.

File access permissions are at the sole discretion of the file owner. Nothing this script or any script for that matter can do about it, and rightfully so. Sorry.
