What exactly do you mean by "crash"? Please provide more details.
Here's how the notifications tab looks for me. Could you please make a similar screenshot demonstrating the problem?
it doesn't seem to crash now after the update, tho what it did was fully freeze the browser tab and give an out of memory error after some time
