It compares each tag in a work blurb with the tag in the title of the page (optionally also with its related tags) and re-styles the ones that match.

There's a SETTINGS section at the beginning where you can change:

The CSS on matched tags, split by relation to the main/plain tag.
- On install it's set to white text on an AO3 red background for the plain tag.
Whether to automatically look up any related tags for highlighting.
- When this is set to true it may open the tags landing page on its own in the background, making you hit the rate limit ("Retry later.") faster.
Whether to add a "Cache related tags" button next to the "Works" and "Bookmarks" etc. navigation buttons, to manually trigger the lookup.
- Repeated use of the button may result in getting to the rate limit ("Retry later") sooner.
