It compares each tag in a work blurb with the tag in the title of the page (optionally also with its related tags) and re-styles the ones that match.

There's a SETTINGS section at the beginning where you can change:

  • The CSS on matched tags, split by relation to the main/plain tag.
    • On install it's set to white text on an AO3 red background for the plain tag.
  • Whether to automatically look up any related tags for highlighting.
    • When this is set to true it may open the tags landing page on its own in the background, making you hit the rate limit ("Retry later.") faster.
  • Whether to add a "Cache related tags" button next to the "Works" and "Bookmarks" etc. navigation buttons, to manually trigger the lookup.
    • Repeated use of the button may result in getting to the rate limit ("Retry later") sooner.
