Can the insane "blue frame" hotkey ruiner feature of the youtube seek and volume bar be disabled?

It steals focus and in practice and modifies the function of the arrow hotkeys. After every usage of the mouse on these bars. When you want to seek you end up changing the volume. When you want to change the volume you end up seeking. It also ruins space as a hotkey when clicking an of the buttons. (besides the play/pause button)
It's an utterly crazy and worthless feature. And extremely frustrating.
I didn't find anything for this. Even if there's already a script or css for this, I don't even have an idea what it's properly called and how to search for it.
