Works perfectly, thanks! Been using it only a couple of weeks and I already rely on it. I added the "i" flag to the regex to make the tags case-insensitive. One note - for some reason when I turn this on, it disables the "Insert" button in this Floaty Review box script. No idea why, and the problem probably lies in the other script, but it's with noting.

Small bug(?): when I put tags after a "!" tag, they don't register, e.g.:

"characters!Aizawa": "lightgreen",
"Dadzawa": "red",}

does not highlight "Dadzawa", but

"Dadzawa": "red",
"characters!Aizawa": "lightgreen",

does. I think.

I am also using the floaty review script and the highlight tags script both, and have no problems. This script doesn't disable any elements, only adds color to existing ones. They work on different pages, too, so they should not interfere. Hmm.

Thanks for letting me know! You are right. I guess the workaround for now is to put all the "!" tags at the end. That still works and they all show up.
