Greasy Fork shall not allow two scripts with the same name

Reason 1. People will confuse for two scripts of the same name
Reason 2. Tampermonkey will wrongly detect the script installation status due to same name + same namespace
Reason 2. Violentmonkey will wrongly detect the script installation status due to same name

Example:

But then that would cause problems for authors if the name is already taken, especially if they are syncing it from an external location.

Just set a rule to detect and alert when the author tries to create a new script or update the existing script.

(like @license checking, but in addition to script creation, also apply to update of script)

i.e. if the authors want to maintain the script, they have to change the name.

What would happen if they won't change name, just delete/hide the script? That would be stupid. I think there are too many troubles to solve, IMO.

Um, that's also an issue.
I think at least for the new script right?

Then what's the point in doing that for new scripts, if old ones are not affected? That would be unfair to the new authors.

It's easier to just don't do anything at all. Yes, some users may not understand which script they are downloading, but IMO that's not a serious problem
