Is it possible to block Top-Level Domains?

Hi there, if you have a result with a www domain, you'll see two options when you click the block button:

  • example.xyz

Next to the shorter domain is a [~] button and if you click that, you'll see the option to block

  • xyz.tld [all dot-xyz's]

I realize now this doesn't appear in the dialog when the result domain only has two parts, so in that case, you can add the domain through the Import dialog (see https://www.jeffersonscher.com/gm/google-hit-hider/manage-lists.php). In the Import list box, type or paste

xyz.tld

Then Parse domains, etc.

Does that work for you?

I mean, block all sites with .cn or .ru, is that possible? I have these filter on my DNS server ,which provide the same function.

Seems to be a weird asking, but it helps a lot when most crap sites ends with a .cn.

Yes. The way that would appear in the block list is

cn.tld

The way you would add it is one of the methods described described in my earlier reply.

Note: here's the original thread about blocking .ru:
