Tried it with Instant inject mode on Tampermonkey in advanced mode but still get the same problem
Where is that "Ambient Mode"? I don't see any icon/button/setting for it.
Ambient mode should be active by default. If not you can open the settings icon in the video on Youtube and hit the setting there. Here's a screenshot

You need to use Dark Theme. Ambient Mode is a feature in YouTube Dark Theme
and Disable other scripts / extensions that let you go back old design or sth like that
Ambient Mode only appears in Dark Themes. You can enable YouTube's Dark theme from the settings at the top right near the sign in link

Works but has bugs. Messes with Ambient Mode in Dark Mode. Gif demonstrates the rectangle where things disappear in the ambient shading area: video title, description, some comments, and videos on the sidebar and their thumbnails
