For what it's worth, this does a rather decent job. Here's a few more things I found that can improve it.

    // Remove promo_div
    $('div.promo_div').remove();

    // Fix image opacity
    $('img.absimg').css('opacity','1');

And instead of $(document).ready, you could add something like this to the UserScript block:

// @run-at             document-body

Or rather, document-end
