I can open photos just fine, but when I try to open a video, I get a blank page with the statement, "Your file could not be accessed." It used to work, but I think Instagram must have done some sort of update, because the extension no longer works for videos anymore.

hi Seth. Don't know how to test your case. When I tried it here: https://www.instagram.com/p/CIBy_FkAYiO/ it worked for me.
Alt+s opened the video on Mac with latest Firefox version.

Do you have an example link?

I Can confirm the problem. Works perfectly on images but keyboard or mouse shortcut does not work on videos anymore.

Yes, Instagram changed their video format again. In this example there is no video file but a streaming blog which is not possible to simple open/download in a new tab. I am sorry, there is no fix currently.

So Instagram is rolling out new features/changes not at the same time.
I do get BLOB files instead of mp4 files.

Checked how other scripts fix this problem - I will try to find a workaround on the weekend/before christmas

I uploaded the fix. Please check. Bonus: now supporting multiple videos in carousels, too.

Thank you but I can't get it to work. I usually used SHIFT + CLICK but nothing happens. No repsonse on videos and on images. Are there any changes to the shortcuts? Using Firefox (Version 83) on Windows.

Updated to 2.28. Images working with SHIFT + CLICK, Videos are working with ALT + F only. Is there a way I can use SHIFT + CLICK for Videos too? I did not try carousel video option yet. Nevertheless, thank you very much for your work! I love this script!

currently no idea and time to elaborate the video click problem.
Since the source of the video is gone, it's way harder to accomplish this.

@Katha Kombe - clicks are back, please test the latest update :)

Upgraded to the new version. Can only download Images and Videos by ALT + F. SHIFT + Click unfortunately does not work with either of them (Windows10, Firefox (Version 83). But functionality is fully back again. It's possible to download videos and images. You're awesome guys!

@Katha Kombe can you provide an example link? I tested many posts to bring back shift-click functionality

I have that issue with all images and videos but as an example... this image https://www.instagram.com/p/CJHFbkIHujl/ and this video https://www.instagram.com/p/CHpRQtkHXUs/. Browser reacting as if i would do a normal left-lick, nothing happens. ALT + F working fine. Thanks for your effort!

Sorry, still no luck here with the demo links. But another image works fine with SHIFT + CLICK: https://www.instagram.com/p/CJHC_PthXhb/. Don't know whats the difference there. I will experiment a little bit, maybe reinstall the script and the addon completely new. We'll see if this helps. Fortunately the keyboard shortcuts are working fine. :)

I found two links on the same Instagram account, one of them working with SHIFT + CLICK, the other one don't.

EDIT: I think it's about the carousel. SHIFT + CLICK does not work, when only one image is posted. But when there are more than one images in a carousel it works somehow.

Only the first three images are working. SHIFT CLICK the fourth images and it opens the third image in a news tab. Videos (No 7 and 8 in the carousel) are not working with SHIFT CLICK.

Maybe this helps figuring out what's wrong. If everything works fine on your system the problem is here on my computer. :)
