Some videos give a blank video while audio sitll plays

Simply put, some videos will gave a completely black video area with no controls or anything while the audio will play on its own.

For reference, Sabaro's ViewTube does not have this issue.

Windows 7 x64 SP1 and Linux Mint x64 17.3
Pale Moon 26, Firefox (whatever version comes with Linux Mint 17.3), Chromium (newest stable as of this post), Chrome 47
HTML5 and VLC plugin
