Improved Audiobook Metadata Extractor for Audible

This script enhances your Audible browsing experience by adding a convenient button to extract comprehensive metadata from audiobook pages. It's perfect for users who want to shorten the time it takes to catalog audiobooks on MAM or any other site that uses the same json parser. If you don't know what MAM is, don't ask, as that means this script won't help you.

Features:

  • Extracts detailed metadata including title, authors, narrators, series info, and more
  • Implemented smart category matching to improve accuracy in audiobook choices by using scoring of key words if there is not a direct match
  • Implemented an option to use AI to help with category matching to improve accuracy in audiobook choices if there is not a direct match
  • Cleans up author and narrator names by removing unnecessary titles and honorifics
  • Formats additional tags with duration, release date, publisher, and categories
  • Copies metadata to clipboard in JSON format
  • Automatically opens the MAM upload page after copying

How to Use:

  1. Install the script using Greasemonkey or Tampermonkey
  2. Navigate to any Audible audiobook page
  3. Look for the "Copy Metadata & Open MAM" button in the bottom-right corner of the page
  4. Click the button to copy the metadata and open the MAM upload page

Customization:

You can customize the script by modifying the following constants at the top of the script:

  • RIPPER: Set this to your preferred ripper (e.g., "InAudible", "Libation", "OpenAudible","MusicFab", etc.)
  • CHAPTERIZED: Set to true if your audiobooks are properly chapterized, false otherwise

Compatibility:

This script is compatible with all audible languages as long as they follow the audible.tld/pd/ or audible.tld/ac/ format
