Tracking antifeature
No, but to do so, you need to make a request to some other server, and that will automatically include a bunch of other information, and that would be considered tracking.
Thanks, I see. Btw, is there any detailed explanation how greasyfork's stats work and what exactly is meant by "installs" and "checks"? These values seem often to not have any correlation whatsoever, for example if you look at https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/406540-undiscord/stats?period=all, it has some jumps in one plot but the other one continues to go as if nothing happened.
"Installs" is the number of unique (per day) IPs that clicked the green button on the script.
"Update checks" is the number of unique (per day) IPs that performed an update check for the script.
Is it necessary to put 'tracking' antifeature in the code if it's only used to count number of users for specific version?
