BUG in Forum ? : I can't post Unicode icon.

PS (Bug in Greasyfork Forum):
I definitively can't add this icon in this forum:

speaker with three sound waves' (u+1f50a)

In UniView : 1F50A: Speaker With Three Sound Waves

Htlm or Markdown format is the same.
I test to copy the icon in a post and past here.
But when i want to publish it , all (txt and icon) are gone.

The strange thing is that i can see it in a post after mine:

I don't believe, its a bug of the forum.
To clarify things: Its not an icon but a character.

Basically, you can insert any Unicode char using its entity(e.g. 🔊)
How it will get displayed depends on the browser and the fonts installed at your local system. See font support list

You must not assume any user has installed one of them!

Surely looks like a bug.

  1. Copy 🔊 and paste into the comment textbox
  2. Click Preview:

The symbol consists of 3 bytes in UTF-8 encoding so, if the forum software uses UTF-16 (UCS-2) and not UTF-32 (UCS-4) internally in some of its libraries, it might explain the bug.

I see the problem on preview.

Let's see if it works when I post:

Preview seems fine now (after forum upgrade?), but posting still doesn't work.
