Threads Plugin is a set of post tools for the Threads web app. It lets you download images and videos, select multiple media items for batch download, copy cleaned-up post text, and copy clean links with tracking parameters removed.

Choose How to Install

Tampermonkey Userscript

Recommended for users who already use Tampermonkey. Select “Install this script” on this page to install it. Future updates will be delivered through Greasy Fork.

Chrome Extension

Chrome users can also install Threads Plugin directly from the Chrome Web Store:

Enable either the Chrome extension or the Tampermonkey userscript—not both. Running both versions on the same Threads page may result in duplicated controls or duplicate processing.

Main Features

Download individual images or videos from Threads posts
Select images and videos on a post detail page, then download the selected items in their original order
Copy cleaned-up post text
Copy clean post links with tracking parameters removed
Add a clean-link option to the native Threads share menu

Feature Settings

The following four features can be enabled or disabled independently:

Clean-link copying
Post-text copying
Batch media selection and download
Individual image and video download buttons

For the Tampermonkey version, open the Threads Plugin menu in your userscript manager to change these settings. Changes are applied immediately to currently open Threads pages without requiring a reload.

The Tampermonkey version displays Traditional Chinese or English based on your browser language. Other languages fall back to English.

The Chrome extension provides a dedicated settings page where you can choose Automatic, Traditional Chinese, or English. Automatic mode follows the current Threads interface language.

How to Use

Open a Threads post or feed.
Use the download button next to a media item to download an individual image or video.
Open a post detail page and use the post toolbar to open the media selector.
Select the images or videos you want, then start the batch download.
Use the text or link buttons to copy the post content or a clean post link.

Privacy and Data Handling

This userscript has no developer-operated backend and includes no analytics, advertising, user tracking, or remotely hosted JavaScript.

To provide its download and copy features, the userscript locally processes public post text, author identifiers, post URLs, and media URLs from the currently open Threads page. To identify certain video sources, it may also inspect a limited set of Threads feed and post network responses on non-sensitive routes.

Post content and media data are not sent to the developer or third-party analytics services
The userscript does not read Threads cookies, localStorage, or sessionStorage
Feature settings are stored only in the userscript manager’s storage
Post text and media content are not stored persistently
Clipboard writes and downloads occur only after a user-initiated action
When downloading media, the browser retrieves the file from its existing Threads, Instagram, or related CDN host
