Strips piped relationship or character tags of all the names except the one you want to see. So, for example, if you put 'Maedhros' into the brackets on line 14:

  • 'Maedhros | Maitimo' becomes 'Maedhros'
  • 'Fingon | Findekáno/Maedhros | Maitimo' becomes 'Fingon | Findekáno/Maedhros'
  • 'Fingon | Findekáno & Maedhros | Maitimo' becomes 'Fingon | Findekáno & Maedhros'

If you also put 'Fingon' on line 14 those last two will be 'Fingon/Maedhros' and 'Fingon & Maedhros'.

Keep a copy of your config because updates will wipe them.

Note that the script does not distinguish between which name comes before or after the pipe, e.g. if you only want to see 'Emily Thorne', both 'Amanda Clarke | Emily Thorne' and 'Emily Thorne | Amanda Clarke' will turn into 'Emily Thorne', turning femslash into self-cest and maybe making everything confusing. Sorry, fans of Revenge.

The script does not alter links, just the text of character or relationship tags. It won't run on works themselves, only while you're browsing (pages ending with /works, pages after you filter tags, pages that return when you use search).
