Highlights or ignores users on the GameFAQs.com message boards based on username, post/title content, and/or user groups such as moderators and the topic creator.
It is recommended you disable the site's default highlighting to avoid issues.

I would prefer you send any feedback or bug reports through a GameFAQs PM or by posting on this GameFAQs community board.

Features and Junk

  • To create or remove lists to highlight or ignore from, left click the settings button at either the top-right corner of the screen or on the account settings page: http://www.gamefaqs.com/user/
  • To highlight or ignore people by username, enter a case-sensitive list of usernames, comma delineated, to select from.
Then check the box next to "Highlight/Ignore in Topic/Message List".
Topic list selects topics by that user, message list selects posts.
After creating a list with the settings you want, you could instead right click someone's username from the topic or message list and quickly add or remove them through the context menu.
  • With the "Target Admins/Mods/VIPs/TCs" checkboxes, you can substitute a username match with a usergroup match; you still need to select an action to take on the matched posts with one of the above options, though.
  • You can highlight or ignore by topic title or post content using the "Highlight/Ignore content in Topic/Message List" boxes.
When using these, fill the field in with case-sensitive words or phrases you want to highlight by, still comma delineated.
  • The Group Name field shows up in the right click context menu and is appended similarly to the (Topic Creator) tag when the "Add group name in Topic/Message List" box is checked.
  • The background colour field will accept colours in #RRGGBB, rgb(r,g,b), rgba(r,g,b,a), and css gradient formats.
    An example gradient: linear-gradient(90deg, rgba(178,102,255,0) 80%, rgba(178,102,255,1) 90%)
  • The optional text colour field will accept colours in #RRGGBB, rgb(r,g,b), and rgba(r,g,b,a) formats.
Leaving the field blank will leave text colours at the default.
You can also type "auto" instead of a colour to have the script automatically select black, white, or unmodified text to best show against your chosen background colour.
You'll need to check the box next to "Using CSS with custom colours" if you're doing the obvious, so the script can compare against them instead of the site's default colours.
  • The "Allow stacking" button refers to gradients; since you can have part of the gradient be transparent, you can check this box to allow multiple gradients on a single topic/post.
Do not check this box if you aren't using a gradient with that specific list, it'll probably break stuff.
(a personal favourite for this option is to highlight people who quote me without disrupting any other highlight I may have on them)
  • Finally, you can export your settings by first saving them, then copying the text string from the box that fills in to somewhere else.
You can import settings by pasting a previous export back into the box and pressing the import button.
