Helps you answer WaniKani prompts using speech recognition
This userscript, "WaniKani Speech Input", uses speech recognition to help you answer WaniKani prompts. When you speak your answer, the script matches your response with the expected answers, enters it into the input field, and automatically clicks the submit button. It also allows you to manually mark an answer as wrong, navigate to the next question, or mark an answer as correct.
Please note that this script is a first draft, so it's likely to have bugs. It is free software, provided as is, without warranty of any kind. The script is also subject to changes as it's being actively developed.
Usage Guide
Install a userscript manager, like Tampermonkey, to your browser.
Copy the script and install it via your userscript manager.
Navigate to https://www.wanikani.com/subjects/* where the script will be activated.
The script will display a footer bar on your screen which shows your current speech input.
Start your quiz. When prompted, speak your answers in English or Japanese based on the question. The script will enter your spoken answer in the input field and automatically submit it.
For manual interventions:
Say "wrong" or "ダメ" to manually mark the answer as wrong.
Say "next" or "次" to manually move to the next question.
Say "correct" or "正しい" to manually mark the answer as correct.
